The Tinkers

To the Tinkers! After I replaced the interior walls with no-cutaway versions, they didn’t have enough money to buy wallpaper. Happily, Harper and Piper are too young to care.

What they do care about is getting as much parental attention as humanly possible.

Whatever you say, Alex.

Stephen: Why is there a random man in my house?
Because you have a home business and that’s the shortest route to it.

Wanda: BABY’S COMING.
Melody: Seriously? Right here in my room?

Melody: OK that was actually pretty cool, do it again.
Wanda: I plan to.

So, meet the newest member of the family, a baby boy named Jazz, because I am committed to the musical names theme now.

But Wanda’s LTW will require even more children, so her and Stephen get to work on that.
Stephen:Television.
Wanda: Television isn’t going to put a baby in me, Stephen.

Pregnante: success!

Skunk: Store’s closed, dumbass.
Romeo: AIEEE!

Well, while Wanda’s awake, she might as well do some restocking.

Melody: This is fine.
Melody:

Stephen: What?
Nothing. Just wondering why I took this picture.

Time to grow up the twins with delicious cake!
Wanda: Mmm, I’ve got something else he can eat!
Down girl.

Harper: Pretty lights!

Piper: Sparkly!

Pascal: *cough*

NO! I CURED YOU! I CURED YOOOOUUUUUUUU!!!

Time for soup!
Wanda: This was not what I had in mind.

Soup failed and also they ran out of ingredients, so Stephen had to do a quick grocery run. At the most expensive grocers in town.

Which meant the family didn;t have enough money to pay the private school fees, oops. On the bright side, the public school uniform mod works! Even if it uh, does have one small flaw.

Wanda: I’d work in the toy shop, but I’m too pregnant. Maybe Stephen can, when he comes home from work.

Or maybe Stephen can bring home plague vector Pascal again and we can spend the evening dealing with that.

Yay.

Pop!

Oops.

Now the twins are older, it’s time for homework.

Followed by some games.

Piper: Needs a little...

Piper: Yep, that’ll do.

And then Jazz grew up when I wasn’t looking! Isn’t he adorable?

DID YOU KNOW: You can use telescopes inside when you place them in front of a window?

Moving on, it’s baby time!

It’s another boy! His name is Cello because musical boys names are getting real hard to come by.

And here’s his twin sister, Viola! Yes I am aware that I now have about half a dozen Violas running around.

To help you tell them apart, I will be calling this one ‘Stinky Viola’.
Stinky Viola: Please don’t.

And then Stephen lost his job.
Stephen: I loved that job. :(
No you didn’t, you wanted to be a cop.

Getting pretty crowded around here.

So I let Melody ask Tara DeBateau out on a date! They got together at summer camp when I wasn’t looking, so let’s see how they get on now.
Tara: Sports!
Melody: I can offer you bowling?

Bowling it is then.

Tara: STRIKE VICTORY DANCE!

Six musically named children and this is the first time I’ve seen one touch the piano this round.

Time to potty train Jazz.
Jazz: Not time to potty train Jazz!

Fine, time to teach Jazz how to walk instead.

FINALLY, they have enough money for groceries.

Melody: Was that a sarcastic invitation?

Piper: You ever hear about townies?

Stephen’s LTW job still hasn’t shown up, but in the meantime, I make him take care of the store.

And then I sent Melody out on another date.

Tara: Let’s dance.

Bit risky, ladies. They can only keep her attention on alcohol for so long.

Melody: Decided I wanna paint a masterpiece before I head to college.

Piper: I saw an elephant today.
Harper: No you didn’t.
Piper: Did too.

Enough of that, it’s birthday time for Cello and Viola.

Melody: *loud celebration noises*
Probably because she knows she’s going to college soon and doesn’t have to help raise this bunch.

First up is Cello!
Piper: He stinks, turn him back.

Viola did a sympathy poop and so Melody had to take over birthday duties.
Melody. For the last time!

And she’s adorable!

Wanda: Well that’s completely destroyed the mood.

Stephen: Might as well deal with this shit instead then, I suppose.

And then in the morning, we bid farewell to Melody.
Wanda: Bye honey, we’ll miss you!

Stephen: Anytime you wanna come home and help train the toddlers, feel free.
Melody: Hard pass on that, dad.
Stephen: It was worth a try.

Why is this so cute UGH.

Wanda: So now we have six children, my LTW is actually doable. Wanna help me celebrate?
Stephen: Last time we celebrated, you had twins.
Wanda: And now I don’t need any more.

Stephen: Well, when you put it like that!

And no baby chimes mean I can celebrate too.

It’s not all chaos though. Sometime the children all skill quietly.

There’s still an awful lot of this though.

Nice outfit.
Melody: Shut up and change it so I can go to my baby brother’s birthday party.

Wanda: Darling! You look lovely!
Melody: Don’t look up then!

Wanda: Everybody here then? Cool, let’s get on with this.

Wanda: *gobs all over the cake*

And here’s child Jazz. And although you can’t see it, he grew up without shoes, just like his big brother.

Melody: Wow, you got good at this wile I was gone.

And the update ends with Stephen - in his LTW uniform - feeding Cello. Thanks for reading!
