World Is Mine - Part One

Well, Asylum's all over, so it's time for a new challenge. Namely, Become One With Russia. Lurking in the neighbourhood are 31 nations, including mugiwara_san's Nyotalia Allies, rechter_sims's lovelies and various characters of my own design that I intend to share as soon as I make halfway decent preview pictures. Oh, and the Britannia Angel. How many can Russia persuade to move in before he dies?


Anyway, meet Russia. He's a family sim who wants to graduate 3 children from college. But fulfilling his LTW is not important. Right now, he needs to meet nations!


Sadly the Welcome Wagon is full of boring, ordinary townies. But thanks to Mister Humble, Russia can visit chat rooms, where he makes first contact with China.


After some chatting, I send Russia out to community lots. While lurking in wait for passing nations, he fishes. Sadly he fails at both meeting nations and catching fish. :(


After a few hours, Russia gives up on the park and heads elsewhere. Still no nations. Still, he finds ways of passing the time.


Moving on AGAIN. I'm beginning to seriously think about murdering the boring townies to force the nations out of hiding, when who should appear but Italy!


Run, Russia!



They chat for a few hours and then Russia spots Taiwan.


Contact is made.


Taiwan: Oh hey, I know you. Aren't you the one with all the snow?



And then the other Italy pops up.


Russia: Become one with me?
South Italy: Hell no.
Hmm. Maybe that was a bit too soon. Next time maybe try 'hello' first.


Anyway, it gets tiring wandering from community lot to community lot, so Russia heads home to sleep before checking the chat rooms again, where he makes contact with Austria.

But townies don't tend to hang out much on Russia's doorstep, so I send him back out into the community. And I make him buy a mobile phone. That way he can build up relationships while waiting. A plan with no drawbacks. :D


I spy Belarus. And her bow floating above her head. Thought I'd fixed that, hmph.


Russia: Honest, it's not THAT cold. Just become one with me and you'll see for yourself.


And while he's hanging out with Belarus, Poland tries to sneak past.


Russia ditches Belarus to chat about hats with Poland when who should turn up but Latvia!


Who promptly offers Russia a job. Russia currently doesn't have one because working would seriously cut into his picking-up-nations time, but I accept because he'll be needing money to remodel as nations move in. Of course, I forgot that they bring in their own money, but never mind. He can always quit.


Anyway, all that chatting has made Russia hungry, so I send him inside to eat. And that's when the angel appears. Who Russia must absolutely add to his Pokedex household because Britannia is a warlock and I have no idea if he can autonomously cast spells, but I want to find out.


For an angel, he's kind of an arsehole.


Oh oh look who it is IT'S GIRL RUSSIA!


These two absolutely have to have babies, y/y?

Sadly, even though this lot seems to be a hot spot for nations, Russia is almost dead on his feet by now, so I send him back home to sleep.


I almost send him to chat to this townie before I realise they're masquerading as a Hetalia sim. Sneaky trick, EA.



And then Russia sets the house on fire.


To cheer him up, I make him invite Belarus over. She asks to bring a friend. Amusingly enough, her friend is Latvia.


Despite the fire, Russia has enough aspiration points for Cool Shades, so I send him out looking like a tool in the hope of boosting his relationship with them both.


Sodding cat. >:( It will NOT be one with Russia.


They're all getting on well, but not well enough to be persuaded to stay.


And Russia is exhausted, so off they go.


Anyway, after a snooze and a shower, I make Russia call Britannia. He knows how to make an entrance.

And then I turn to grab my teacup. When I look back, I discover this.





Russia: Become one with me?
Britannia: ...Yeah, all right then.

*woohoo*


Russia: That wasn't exactly what... ah who cares.



Um. Well. All righty then! But even after that, Britannia cannot be pursuaded to stay.


Still, Russia doesn't get a chance to grumble about it because Hong Kong goes trotting past his door.



They bond over kickybag and idle gossip.


The Hong Kong comes in and makes himself at home. But not enough at home to stay.


God bless the internet. It's amazing who you can find on there. Why, you can even find out the name of the footballer who took out an injunction barring the UK press from publicising details of his affair. Just check out Twitter.


Anyway, Russia invites China over for a chat and they become best friends. I wonder... are they now close enough to become one?


And they are! Success! One down, thirty to go!


Flush with success, Russia then invites Italy over.


And they're BFF's! Surely now Italy can't possibly refuse an invitation to move in?


Yes, he can. :(


Maybe Cool Shades will help.


But even dazzled by neon green, Italy won't budge. Their relationship is slipping, so Russia gives up for now and sends Italy home.


And mid-nap, this lovely lady walks past. Hi there, girl England!


Russia throws on some clothes and dashes out to greet her.


And then goes back to bed, leaving her alone to entertain herself.



Entertainment which involves bullying China until he cries. Their relationship dips to -14, which should make things amusing when Russia finally persuades her to move in.





Russia cheers him up. But I imagine things could get messy once Britannia move in.


But for the moment, Russia has a greater lifetime relationship with Taiwan, so he invites her over to gossip about cats.


But despite those doubleplusgoods, she doesn't want to move in.



After a quick snowball fight, he tries again.


Yay! And Taiwan brings in enough simoleons to add a second story to the house. And a bed. Not enough for any other furniture, but at least people have places to sleep.Oh, and JSYK, being townies, China and Taiwan both have jobs, which bring in much needed money now that Russia's spent all the cash on space.



Bugger.


He seems pretty unaffected by it, what with the +500 hovering above him.


And then he starts stomping by the front door. At first, I think it's some sort of delayed tantrum, then I realise we have roaches. I'm guessing girl England came by at some point and kicked over the rubbish just to annoy him. Well, it worked.


A quick call to the exterminators soon takes care of that. :)



Another target spotted. Hi there, Lithuania!


The boring old bed got a makeover with Taiwan's moving in money, but it doesn't help China sleep better. He keeps having nightmares about roaches and waking up crying.



China and Taiwan are very neat sims and spend a lot of spare time cleaning, which is handy because we can't afford a maid.



Winter would not be complete without a snowman.


The next day, Russia waits until China's gone to work before inviting Britannia over.


Best friends!


And a new housemate! This should get more interesting now!

So! Will Russia manage to track down the other nations and move them in? Will there even be enough room? Will China and Britannia find out about each other? Find out in part two!

Can I ask where you managed to get Hong Kong's red chinese shirt? I've been looking for something like that since forever.

Russia does seem to be confusing this a bit with the France Loves Everyone challenge, yes. XD
Hong Kong's outfit is something I recoloured myself, I'll try and upload all of him later - easier than finding the mesh and recolour on its own.

ETA: Huh, LJ ate Russia's name. Weird.

Hearing that reminds me of that line from the Capsule Monsters movie where yugi has to bond w Dark Magican to give himself a power boost and blah blah and he goes "JOIN W ME TO BECOME ONE!" And I had to stop the movie because my friends and I were on the floor in TEARS for a good ten minutes XD So anytime I hear that or something similar I lose it XD
